Floor Warp Chapter 1: The Discovery of the Foot Warp It all started with a routine maintenance check on the spaceship’s propulsion system. As the repair crew checked the circuits and wires, one of them stumbled upon a sealed hatch behind the engine compartment. Curiosity got the better of him, and he pried open the hatch. What he saw was nothing like he’d ever seen before: a large, metallic ring made of some unknown composite, glowing faintly with an arc of blue energy. They were about to report their discovery to the captain when they noticed something strange: the ring seemed to be affecting their surroundings. Their footsteps and movement caused a strange rippling effect in the air, like waves in a still pond. After some experimentation, they found out that the ring was a “foot warp,” a device capable of warping space and time to create a stable wormhole. With it, they could travel across the vast expanse of the universe in an instant.
